Musa Darjeeling Giant Danae wherryi) x (Sarracenia psittacina x(aka: Musa 'Daj giant') We purchased these seeds from India as a naturally occurring giant hardy hybrid banana from India's Darjeeling Hills region, whose mama was the winter hardy Musa sikkimensis, but whose baby daddy was unknown. We've had these in the garden since 2007, where they have achieved a height of 18'. Musa 'Darjeeling Giant' has nice red purple leaf backs as the new foliage emerges. The thick green trunks are coated with a white wax
